New VANGUARD accessories are loaded with innovative features to improve hunting comfort and accuracy
Lineup includes shooting sticks, firearm slings and sporting optics

Las Vegas – VANGUARD, one of the global leaders in high-quality hunting accessories, today introduced new shooting sticks, firearm slings and sporting optics to outfit the active outdoorsperson. They were introduced at the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s SHOT Show 2011.

“New-for-2011 DropDown shooting sticks enable quick set up and eliminate fussing over leg locks,” said Dana Barnier    , national sales manager for VANGUARD USA. “This makes it perfect for hunters to move faster than ever for a successful hunt.”

With the press of a button, legs extend straight to the ground to the exact height needed even when the firearm is rested in the yoke.

Available in monopod or bipod styles, top-of-the-line DropDown features a Picatinny Rail quick shoe for ultra fast and convenient attachment to rifles and yokes. It also boasts a button safety lock, strong 24-mm tube legs and deluxe V-shaped & U-shaped yokes that turn 360 degrees. Drop Down delivers on stability, too, with anti-slip rubber feet that provide unbeatable reliability by firmly staying in position even when the stick tilts.  It adapts to any kind of terrain with feet that convert from spikes to rubber. Other features include a weather-resistant rubber grip, karabiner and wrist strap.

Also new is Equalizer QS pivoting bi-pod. Modeled on our bestselling Equalizer Series, it has a Picatinny Rail quick shoe system that allows shooters to attach and detach firearms faster than ever. Its Pull and Position leg adjustment system enables you to quickly and safely reposition, while the buffer spring reduces shock and vibration. It has a pivot tilt of 0 to 5 degrees and a -30 to +30-degree swing angle. Equalizer QS takes on an array of terrains with feet that convert from metal spikes to rubber. Differing models enable various shooting positions from prone to sitting to kneeling.  Additional quick shoe bases can be purchased for quick transfer from firearm to firearm.

In sporting optics, Spirit ED Series is new to VANGUARD’s successful sporting optics line.

“Spirit ED binoculars with ED glass technology deliver a high-quality, crisp image, even in very low light conditions,” said Dana Barnier    , VANGUARD’S national sales manager. “It will surely be a favorite for hunters on early morning hunts and archery pros to see targets like never before.”

Spirit ED has advanced ED glass technology, which provides impressive light transmission for a near-perfect viewing experience. Its advanced lens and prism design with ED glass unveils details other binoculars can’t show. It boasts user-friendly features, too, with a lightweight, comfortable-to-hold body design, twist-out eyecups for long eye relief, large focus adjustment wheel and a 100 percent waterproof design, so the weather will never slow users down.

Also new in sporting optics is Spirit Plus, offering advanced quality with superior design and technical features including BaK4 roof prisms. It combines premium coatings and a solid construction to offer versatility never before introduced to the market. Patented Spirit Plus is waterproof, ensuring continuously dry lenses and a clear view even under the most extreme conditions with rain, snow or fog. Fully multi-coated lenses provide bright, crisp viewing with enhanced color contrast and true color reproduction. Spirit Plus is all about comfort with long eye relief (up to 19 mm) and an ergonomic grip with thumb rest so there's no worry about it slipping from hands. Its Emerald coating provides the most vivid and natural spectrum of color tones.

New models of VANGUARD’s wildly popular Endeavor ED binoculars were also introduced, featuring advanced optical technology, delivering sharpness and clarity like never before.

“Endeavor ED binoculars provide incredibly sharp viewing,” said Dana Barnier    . “Its ED glass reduces color dispersion, enhances color resolution and contrast. Plus, they’re waterproof, fogproof and ready to take on the outdoors.”

Other features include an ergonomic, open-bridge design for comfortable use, a wide view angle, BaK4 roof prisms, an anti-reflection coating, large focus adjustment wheel and long eye relief. They’re available at street price of $349-399 (USD).

In gun slings, VANGUARD introduced additional models within its Gun Hugger Series. Each sling has full metal swivel hardware and an oversized thumb loop. Most models have one-handed length adjustment with thick shoulder padding and reinforced ends and edges and are available in black, brown camo or green camo patterns. They are available at $14 to $29 (USD) in store.

New in tripods is MAK OS. It’s lightweight and loaded up with essentials, including a strong canopy, quick flip leg locks, gear elevator for precise height adjustment and a leg brace with lock for extra stability. MAK OS also has a bubble level to ensure balance, quick-flip leg locks for quick setup, anti-slip rubber feet and a travel bag. But there’s nothing standard about MAK OS because its smooth three-way pan head doubles as a detachable vehicle window mount. When a tripod’s not convenient, simply detach the pan head, attach your camera or spotting scope and mount it to your vehicle window. It’s there to provide smooth panoramic panning in whatever form needed.
