VANGUARD Pro Staffers are winning local, state, national and world archery championship titles, raising funds to take servicemen and women injured in the line of duty and terminally-ill children on adventurous hunts, managing popular ranges and shops, teaching archery in after-school programs, leading regional archery associations and clubs, and more. Though they're diverse in experience, age, background and industry involvement, VANGUARD's Pro Staff members share common loves: Archery, the outdoors and VANGUARD sporting optics. Scattered across North America and in Australia, too, this mix of energetic teens to seasoned pros with decades of experience all agree: VANGUARD binoculars and spotting scopes run laps around the big-name optics they used before discovering us.

Favorite VANGUARD products: Endeavor ED 1045 binoculars, Saberlock 83Z bow case

Gary Parish has been shooting for more than 15 years and considers optics to be as important as the bow itself.

That's why he was thrilled to discover VANGUARD optics through the recommendation of a friend.

"The quality of the optics is by far outstanding!" Gary said."They're very easy to adjust and I like the eyepiece's lockdown feature; they're a real pleasure to use. I have never owned a pair of glasses that at 50 yards, allow me to see each and every arrow hole in my target on my practice range, and that alone says a lot!"

His accomplishments include:
  • 2010 ASA Indoor State Champion
  • 2010 ASA Outdoor State Champion
  • 2010 Michigan IBO Triple Crown Champion
  • 3rd place, 2010 Michigan IBO State Champion
  • Placed top three at the IBO Indoor World Championship three years in a row
  • 2009 ASA Indoor State Championship
  • 2008 Michigan Archers Association FITA State Champion

Gary enjoys helping fellow archers achieve their goals and compete at their best. He volunteers his time to teach young people the sport at his local archery club.

"Seeing them enjoy and succeed in the sport, and in hunting, is one of my best accomplishments," Gary said.
