Vanguard – Pro Staff

VANGUARD Pro Staffers are winning local, state, national and world archery championship titles, raising funds to take servicemen and women injured in the line of duty and terminally-ill children on adventurous hunts, managing popular ranges and shops, teaching archery in after-school programs, leading regional archery associations and clubs, and more. Though they're diverse in experience, age, background and industry involvement, VANGUARD's Pro Staff members share common loves: Archery, the outdoors and VANGUARD sporting optics. Scattered across North America and in Australia, too, this mix of energetic teens to seasoned pros with decades of experience all agree: VANGUARD binoculars and spotting scopes run laps around the big-name optics they used before discovering us.

Rob’s passion for the outdoors began at age five when his father and grandfather introduced him to hunting in the abundant Wisconsin woods. At 14, Rob’s dedication to the sport led him to win his first youth state archery championship. Three additional state championship titles followed.

Rob believes strongly in the urgency and importance of conservation. For that reason, he’s served as Chairman of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress. Rob has also dedicated most of his life to helping others experience the grand Wisconsin outdoor life. For more than 25 years, Rob has been a Wisconsin-licensed guide and has led thousands of hunters on their most memorable hunting adventures. For many years, Rob led one of Wisconsin’s archery-only outfitters that catered to corporate groups. Today, he is a sought-after whitetail and turkey guide on one of Wisconsin’s most-talked-about hunting land.

He’s also a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources-certified Hunter Education Instructor and Bow Hunter Education Instructor. Rob greatly enjoys volunteering in the National Archery in Schools Program. Rob’s a frequent speaker about whitetail deer and turkey hunting as well as deer management.
